Sydney Sweeney And Dr. Squatch Team Up To Launch Soap Made With Her Bathwater
Sydney Sweeney has partnered with natural soap brand Dr. Squatch to launch a new bar of soap—featuring a bizarre but headline-grabbing twist. It’s made using a small amount of her actual bathwater.
Yes, really.
According to People, the soap is called “Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss” and is being released as a limited-edition product. Only 5,000 bars will be available when it goes on sale on June 6 at 12 p.m. EST, exclusively through Dr. Squatch’s website.
Sweeney, known for her roles in Euphoria and Anyone But You, said the idea was meant to be “weird in the best way.” She explained that fans became curious after a previous Dr. Squatch ad showed her relaxing in a bubble bath. That curiosity inspired the brand to bottle the moment—literally.
Each soap bar includes a touch of water collected from Sweeney’s bath during the ad shoot. Don’t expect anything scandalous, though. The soap is more about outdoorsy vibes than viral shock. It smells like pine trees and moss, a nod to Sweeney’s roots in the Pacific Northwest.
The bar also includes natural exfoliants like sand and pine bark. It’s designed to appeal to men, but we wouldn’t be surprised if some fans buy it just for the novelty.
“I wanted it to smell like home,” Sweeney told People. “It’s got this forest-y, earthy scent that really takes me back.”
The collaboration has sparked mixed reactions online. Some social media users found it amusing or clever, while others questioned the marketing tactic. A few even compared it to past celebrity product stunts, like Gwyneth Paltrow’s famously bold candle.
Dr. Squatch and Sweeney are also offering 100 bars as part of a giveaway before the full launch.
Whether it’s clever branding or just quirky fun, one thing is certain: the soap has people talking.
