The Conjuring: Last Rites Trailer Released Featuring Final Ed And Lorraine Warren Case (IMG SOURCE: Youtube.com)
The Warrens are back for one final showdown—and it’s already sending chills down our spines.
Warner Bros. just dropped the first teaser for The Conjuring: Last Rites, and yep, it’s as creepy as you hoped. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return as paranormal power couple Ed and Lorraine Warren in what promises to be the last chapter of the legendary horror franchise.
This time, the demonic action centers around the infamous Smurl haunting of the 1980s in Pennsylvania. If you’re not familiar, it’s one of the Warrens’ most terrifying real-life cases, involving shadowy figures, strange odors, and full-blown possession. You know, casual Tuesday stuff in the world of the Conjuring Universe.
“We always knew this one would be the darkest,” director Michael Chaves told Entertainment Weekly, adding that Last Rites dives deeper into the Warrens’ personal stakes than ever before.
And from the looks of that trailer—released just hours ago—it’s not playing around. The vibe? Sinister. The stakes? Sky high. The scares? Certified bone-chillers.
Set in 1986, Last Rites finds the Warrens semi-retired but not done just yet. They’re lured into one final investigation, and let’s just say the demons didn’t get the memo about retirement.
This is the same Conjuring world that gave us Annabelle, The Nun, and that clapping scene in the basement. So yeah, horror fans, mark your calendars—this one’s coming in hot.
The Conjuring: Last Rites hits theaters on September 5, 2025, and if the trailer is any clue, we’re in for a seriously twisted farewell.
