Rory Mccann Joins Rosario Dawson In Ahsoka Season 2

LOS ANGELES, CA — You know how every now and then, a casting decision just makes sense? That’s kind of what’s happening with Ahsoka Season 2. Rosario Dawson is back, of course. She’s the face of Ahsoka Tano at this point. But now, there’s a new name making waves—Rory McCann. Yep, “The Hound” from Game of Thrones is joining the galaxy far, far away.

Season 1 of Ahsoka gave us a lot to talk about. We got space witches, a creepy return for Thrawn, and a storyline that expanded the Star Wars universe in some wild new ways. But one of the standout characters was definitely Baylan Skoll. Played by Ray Stevenson, Baylan had this mysterious, almost Shakespearean vibe. Sadly, Stevenson passed away before Season 2 could even begin.

But the story has to go on—and now, Rory McCann is picking up the lightsaber.

That’s right. McCann is stepping into the role of Baylan Skoll. It’s not easy following up a fan-favorite performance, but if anyone’s got the presence for it, it’s Rory. He’s got that rugged, no-nonsense energy that could totally work for a former Jedi turned mercenary.

And let’s not forget Rosario Dawson. She’s back as Ahsoka Tano, ready to dive deeper into this Force-filled mystery that started back in The Mandalorian. Dawson’s been super open about how much she loves playing Ahsoka, and fans are still rooting for the series to dig more into her journey, her connection to Anakin, and what’s really going on with Thrawn and Ezra Bridger.

The new season is reportedly in early development, so we probably won’t see it until 2025. But that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating. Will Baylan’s arc get a proper sendoff? How will Rory McCann make the character his own? And what’s next for Ahsoka in this post-Return of the Jedi world?

There’s no definite plot yet, and Lucasfilm is staying pretty quiet. But between the returning cast, new faces like McCann, and Dave Filoni’s big-picture plans for the Star Wars universe, there’s a lot to be excited about.

So, while we can’t say for sure how it’ll all unfold, one thing’s clear: Ahsoka Season 2 is shaping up to be something special.
