Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2025 Airs Tonight With Tyla As Host

Grammy winner Tyla is hosting the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, airing live tonight at 8 p.m. ET from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. It’s a first for the South African pop sensation, but if the orange carpet buzz is anything to go by, she’s more than ready.

“I’m super excited!” Tyla told Just Jared just hours before showtime. “But I’m hoping for a cute little drizzle of slime—not a full-on Katy Perry situation!” (Yes, she went there. 2010 fans, you remember.)

Tyla is doing double duty—she’s also nominated in two major music categories: Favorite Global Music Star and Favorite Music Collaboration. It’s a full-circle moment for the “Water” hitmaker, who said she “grew up watching” the show and “always wanted one of those orange blimps.” She might just walk away with one tonight.

This year’s event is loaded with high-energy performances and surprise slime attacks. Pop group Katseye will hit the stage with their single “Gnarly”, while Machine Gun Kelly is also set to perform—no word yet if he’s risking the green goo.

And speaking of legends, actor Jack Black will be crowned King of Comedy. A fitting title for the guy who made fart jokes Oscar-worthy in Kung Fu Panda.

Fans can catch the show across all Nickelodeon platforms—Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, TeenNick, Nick Jr.—plus MTV2, CMT, and streaming live on Paramount+.

Can’t find a cable? No worries. Page Six confirms you can also watch through YouTube TV, FuboTV, Philo, Hulu + Live TV, and DirecTV Stream.

The Kids’ Choice Awards are known for their fast-paced fun, wild stunts, and of course, unpredictable slime attacks. Past victims include the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Justin Bieber, and even Michelle Obama. Will Tyla dodge the bucket? Or will history repeat itself?
