174 people died in 26/11 attack

Tahawwur Rana is a Pakistani-born Canadian citizen and a close aide of US national David Coleman Headley, one of the main conspirators of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

On November 26, 2008, a group of 10 Pakistani terrorists attacked a railway station, two hotels and a Jewish centre in Mumbai. A total of 174 people, including six Americans, were killed in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. The attack was carried out by 10 Pakistani terrorists. In November 2012, Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab was hanged to death in Pune’s Yerwada Jail.

India had been trying to extradite Rana for several years as he has links with Lashkar-e-Taiba and Headley. Rana used all the legal options available in the US, but he received a setback from everywhere.

Trump had Announced

At a press conference with Prime Minister Modi at White House in February, US President Donald Trump had announced that his administration had approved the extradition of Rana, the world’s most wanted man, to face justice in India.
