US President Donald Trump announced new tariffs on Iran. Trump on Thursday announced a 26 per cent reciprocal tariff on goods coming to the US from India. With his speech, these tariffs have come into effect. In his very first announcement, Trump has announced to impose 25 per cent tariffs on the auto sector. The US president called it the “day of the declaration of economic independence.”
Addressing the ‘Make America Wealthy Again’ event, Trump accused the European Union (EU) and Asian countries of imposing heavy tariffs on American cars. “The United States only charges 2.4 per cent tariffs on motorcycles from other countries. While Thailand and other countries are charging a very high price, such as India 70%, Vietnam 75% and others are charging even higher tariffs. I don’t blame other countries at all. I blame past presidents and past leaders who weren’t doing their jobs. From midnight tonight, we will impose a 25% tariff on all foreign-made automobiles.”

Donald Trump said that if any country wants the US to reduce its tariffs, then it will have to reduce its tariffs first. If they complain and want tariffs to be zero, they should make their products in the US. There will be no tariffs on factories and products made in the US. These tariffs will protect our country from those who seek to damage America’s economy.
