Debunking Common Smartphone Misconceptions About Camera, RAM, Battery, and Radiation

Smartphone myths and facts about camera, RAM, battery, and radiation.

Understanding common smartphone myths and the real facts behind them.

  • More Megapixels Mean a Better Camera
Fact: Camera quality is not determined by megapixels alone. Sensor size, aperture, and image processing also play a crucial role. For example, Apple and Google phones feature 12MP cameras, yet their quality surpasses many 108MP cameras.

  • More RAM Means a Faster Phone
Fact: More RAM does not necessarily make a phone faster. If the processor is weak, even higher RAM won’t improve performance. Many phones come with 12GB RAM, but Apple’s iPhones with just 6GB RAM often perform better.

  • Overnight Charging Damages the Battery
Fact: Modern smartphones use lithium-ion batteries with built-in overcharge protection. Once the battery reaches 100%, charging stops automatically, preventing any damage.
