
FIR filed against Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, and others for promoting betting apps
The Telangana Police has filed an FIR against 25 celebrities including South Indian superstar Vijay Devarakonda, Rana Daggubati and Prakash Raj to allegedly promote betting app. The accused include six film stars and 19 influencers.
According to reports, Phanindra Sharma, a 32 -year -old businessman, filed a petition against these celebrities. The FIR registered at Miyapur police station states that many celebrities and people affect are encouraged to invest money in betting platforms through social media and advertisements.
Many persons have lost money due to gambling and betting apps promoted by these celebrities. Such activities are creating financial crisis for middle and lower-middle class families. The police have started an investigation into the network of these platforms and are also investigating the role of celebrities involved.
The accused include Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, Manchu Lakshmi, Pranitha, Nidhi Agarwal, Amrita Choudhary, Nayani Pavani, Pandu Neha Pathan, Padmavati, Imran Khan, Harsha Sai, Baiya Sunny Yadav, Shyamala, Vishnupriya, Tasty Teja, and Ritu Choudhary.
