Ethan Hawke Returns As The Grabber In Chilling ‘black Phone 2’ Trailer
You thought The Grabber was done? Think again. Ethan Hawke is officially back to creep you out — and he’s not alone.
Blumhouse just dropped the trailer for “The Black Phone 2” and yep, Hawke’s terrifying child-snatching magician from the original is making a spine-chilling return. Despite being, ya know, dead.
According to SlashFilm, The Grabber is back from beyond the grave — think less Hannibal Lecter, more Freddy Krueger vibes.
The story picks up four years after the first movie, with Mason Thames reprising his role as Finney, now 17 and still dealing with trauma — because who wouldn’t be? Gwen, played by Madeleine McGraw, is also back and still psychic AF.
This time, she’s having visions of creepy stuff going down at a winter camp called Alpine Lake. Fun! Except… not really.
People reports that the siblings start digging into the strange goings-on and boom — old wounds open, ghostly phone calls happen, and Hawke’s Grabber shows up to ruin everything. Again.
Directed by horror king Scott Derrickson, who helmed the first flick, and co-written with C. Robert Cargill, the sequel is bringing some new blood too. Demián Bichir and Arianna Rivas are joining the nightmare ride, per Cosmic Book News.
Also back in action: Jeremy Davies and Miguel Mora, so it’s basically a full-blown reunion — just with more screaming.
The whole nightmare drops in theaters on October 17, 2025, so you’ve got time to update your “Movies That Will Definitely Mess Me Up” list.
And yeah, if the trailer is anything to go by, “The Black Phone 2” is coming for your sleep — again.
