Dr. Harish Chandra, a general physician at Sadar Hospital, stated that due to changes in weather, cases of viral fever, cold, cough, and pain in the body, muscles, and throat have increased significantly. On average, 40 to 50 out of every 100 patients visiting the medicine OPD daily are suffering from these issues, with most of them belonging to the younger age group.

As the weather fluctuates, viral infections spread more rapidly. This particular viral infection is causing high fever. Therefore, it is advised to maintain distance from people suffering from cold and cough. Wearing a mask can help prevent infection. Additionally, people should avoid prolonged exposure to intense sunlight and ensure their bodies remain hydrated.

30-35 Children Receiving Treatment Daily

Pediatrician Dr. Anitabh mentioned that children had adapted to the cold weather, but the significant changes in temperature over the past 10-15 days have caused them to suffer from sudden temperature fluctuations. As a result, cases of cold, cough, and viral fever have increased, with 30-35 children seeking treatment daily. This infection affects children for about three to five days. The most affected age group is between 2 to 10 years, as they are highly susceptible to changing weather conditions.
