India Strikes Terror Sites in Sialkot During Operation Sindoor, Pakistan Shuts Airspace

India hits terror-linked targets in Sialkot and other areas under Operation Sindoor, prompting Pakistan to close airspace and airports for 48 hours.

Sialkot just made it to the geopolitical hot seat—and it’s not for exporting footballs this time.

In the last hour, the city faced the fallout of Operation Sindoor, a surprise airstrike campaign launched by Indian forces in retaliation for the deadly April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

And yes, Sialkot was one of the nine targets.

India’s message? Clear. Loud. And very visible. According to reports from DNA India, key terror-linked sites—allegedly tied to Jaish-e-Mohammed—were hit in and around Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, and other regions under Pakistani control.

In classic social media fashion, videos quickly started swirling online showing what appear to be sirens and public panic in Sialkot. Some clips showed folks dashing for cover, others just stood filming. It’s 2025—if it’s not on video, did it even happen?

Of course, the videos are unverified, but the reactions? Totally real.

NewsX caught some of the online frenzy, where locals claimed the sirens “weren’t a drill.” Authorities, meanwhile, have gone quiet—official confirmation is still MIA.

What is confirmed? Pakistan shut down its airspace across the board. All airports, including Sialkot International, are closed for 48 hours. So if you were planning a quick escape to Dubai… maybe hold off.

Even amid the tension, life in Sialkot hasn’t come to a full stop. GCWUS (that’s Government College Women University Sialkot) is still gearing up for its 6th convocation today, as reported by APP News.

It’s giving major “life goes on” energy—even if the skies are off-limits.
