Tina Knowles Hits New York Times Bestseller List As Beyoncé Celebrates On Stage
Beyoncé just hit pause on her Cowboy Carter world domination tour to throw a full-blown lovefest for the OG queen in her life—Mama Tina!
That’s right, Tina Knowles is officially a New York Times bestselling author, and Queen Bey made sure the world knew it with a special onstage shoutout that gave fans all the feels.
During her electric May 1st show at SoFi Stadium in L.A., Bey brought out Tina, along with daughters Blue Ivy and little Rumi, during a sweet moment in her performance of “Protector.” Then she grabbed the mic and said what we were all thinking:
“She has the No. 1 book — the New York Times bestseller,” Beyoncé proudly told the crowd, per USA Today.
Let’s be honest, this was a total mic-drop moment.
And yes, it was captured by fans who lived for the three-generation girl power vibe onstage.
The book that’s got everyone talking? Tina’s memoir Matriarch, which dropped April 22 and already snagged a coveted spot on Oprah’s Book Club list (Oprah knows talent, y’all). In it, Tina spills everything—from growing up in segregated Galveston, Texas, to raising Beyoncé and Solange, to surviving cancer and heartbreak.
The Guardian even called the book a raw and powerful look at Tina’s journey, and People reported that Tina broke down in tears the first time she heard Beyoncé’s song “HEATED,” which was inspired by her late nephew Johnny.
Of course, Beyoncé wasn’t done celebrating. She also posted the book on her Instagram stories with the caption:
“The Mama T was that good?? Ha. You deserve it, I’m so proud!”.

Tina’s response? A sweet “Thank you my baby ❤️” that basically melted the internet.
Now Tina is hitting the road herself on a nine-city promo tour for Matriarch, with her next stop set for—you guessed it—Los Angeles on May 2.
So if you thought the Knowles family was slowing down in 2025, think again. Beyoncé’s running the charts, Tina’s running the bestseller list, and Blue Ivy’s already got more stage presence than most pop stars.
Bow down.
