Hold up—did your Galaxy S25 Ultra just double up on icons like it’s trying to win a game of Tetris? You’re not seeing things. Samsung’s shiny new One UI 7 update just dropped an unintentional remix on your status bar—cue the duplicate icons!

We’re talking two batteries, two alarms, two networks. Yep, like some kind of tech glitchy déjà vu. Users are reporting that after installing the April 2025 security patch, their status bars are rocking double trouble on both the call screen and home screen. It’s like your phone said, “Why have one when you can have two?” Nice in theory—super annoying in real life.

And don’t go blaming your eyes or your coffee. This isn’t a hallucination. The bug is legit, but here’s the twist—it seems to be exclusive to the Ultra model. Galaxy S25 and S25+ users? Totally unaffected. Must be nice, huh?

Samsung’s been radio silent on this one, which only makes it more frustrating. There’s no official fix yet, and temporary tricks like restarting or swapping themes are basically just wishful thinking. Your best bet? Hit up the Samsung Members app and let ‘em know you’re not loving this glitchy clone-fest.

Oh, and just to spice things up—One UI 7 also started hiding the Bluetooth and alarm icons in regular mode. You only see them when you pull down the notification shade. Clean look, they said. Less clutter, they said. But now with this bug? Double clutter instead. Irony much?

Until Samsung drops a fix, Galaxy S25 Ultra owners are stuck in icon overload limbo. So if your phone suddenly looks like it’s got a mirror mode—congrats, you’re part of the elite (and slightly annoyed) club.
