Sasha Obama just turned 24 — and her parents celebrated with something they rarely do: a family photo drop.

Yep, Barack and Michelle Obama took to Instagram on Monday (10 June) to wish their youngest daughter a happy birthday — and gifted us all a rare peek into their ultra-private family life.

“Happy birthday, Sasha! Watching you grow into the incredible woman you are has been a true gift,” Barack wrote in his caption on Instagram. “I’ll always be proud of you and will always be here for you.”

Michelle wasn’t far behind with the mom love. She posted the same family snap with her own sweet message:
“Happy birthday to my sweet girl, Sasha!” she wrote on Instagram. “Can’t believe how quickly time has flown. I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become. Love you always!”

Sasha, who graduated from the University of Southern California in 2023 with a degree in sociology, has kept things low-key since finishing school. No red carpets. No viral TikToks. Just good vibes and a solid post-grad reset, by the looks of it.

Her older sister Malia, 26, has taken a slightly different route, going Hollywood — but quietly. She’s been working behind the scenes in TV writing and recently made waves at Sundance 2024 with her short film The Heart, credited under her chosen professional name, Malia Ann.

Michelle recently opened up about that name choice, saying her daughter is “just trying to make her own way” without the weight of the Obama legacy following every move. Fair play.

As for Sasha? While she might not be dropping films at Sundance (yet), this birthday moment showed she’s still got major main-character energy — even if it’s mostly behind the scenes.
