Trump Calls Out Rep. Massie Over Opposition to GOP Spending Bill

Trump slams Rep. Thomas Massie for opposing his latest tax-and-spending bill, urging Republicans to push the legislation forward despite internal friction.

Well, that didn’t take long.

Former President Donald Trump just lit into Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) — again — calling him a “grandstander” for daring to oppose his new mega tax-and-spending proposal.

This time, the fight is over what Trump is calling the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” a sweeping piece of legislation aimed at slashing taxes, killing off levies on tips and overtime, and supercharging border and defense budgets.

It’s a Trump special — big, loud, and loaded with red meat.

But Massie? Not impressed.

According to the New York Post, he’s voicing concerns about the national debt and the bill’s overall cost. Fiscal responsibility and all that.

Trump, never one to let criticism slide, took to Truth Social (of course) and slammed Massie, calling him out by name and suggesting he should be booted from Congress altogether.

“He should be voted out of office,” Trump wrote, throwing down the gauntlet and turning up the heat on the House GOP.

Sound familiar? It should. Back in March, Trump promised to “lead the charge” to primary Massie after the Kentucky congressman opposed another major funding bill.

This latest drama is déjà vu — same cast, new conflict.

GOP leadership isn’t slowing down, though. Per the Post, they’re going full steam ahead with a late-night markup and might even keep Congress grinding through Memorial Day weekend.

That’s right — no backyard barbecues until this thing is hammered out.

The bill isn’t a done deal yet. Even if it clears the House, it still needs to survive a Senate showdown. But Trump’s message is crystal clear: get on board, or get out of the way.

As for Massie? He’s not backing down. But when Trump calls you out in all caps, it’s never just politics. It’s personal.
