Scottie Scheffler And Wife Meredith Scudder Welcome Baby As Her Career Thrives
Think Scottie Scheffler is the only star in the relationship? Think again. While the world No. 1 dominates the golf course with his laser focus and smooth swing, his wife Meredith Scudder is absolutely crushing it behind the scenes — and not in the shadow.
Meredith isn’t just cheering from the sidelines. She’s a powerhouse in her own right, leading life-changing work at a Dallas-based nonprofit, Behind Every Door. As Director of Curating Opportunities (yep, that’s a real title and it’s as cool as it sounds), she helps underserved youth discover their talents and rise above poverty. Talk about purpose with a capital P!
Her mission? “Helping children discover their gifts and who they were made to be,” she told People. And it’s not some photo-op philanthropy either — Meredith is boots-on-the-ground, heart-first invested.
She’s also co-founded With Purpose College Station, an org helping families affected by childhood cancer. Oh, and she’s done humanitarian work in Zambia and interned with Live Beyond. Basically, while Scottie’s collecting trophies, Meredith’s out here changing lives.
Let’s rewind a bit. The couple’s love story is seriously rom-com material. They met at Highland Park High School in Dallas, started dating their senior year, stayed strong through college (Meredith went to Texas A&M, Scottie to UT — rivalry alert), and tied the knot in 2020.
Scottie and Meredith welcomed their son Bennett in May 2024. The PGA champ got emotional during his recent win at the PGA Championship, kissing his wife and cradling his newborn in a moment that melted hearts everywhere (thanks New York Post for the snap-worthy coverage).
Even with Scottie’s packed tour schedule, Meredith’s always there — not just as a cheerleader, but as a partner with her own passions, purpose, and powerhouse moves.
