Barcelona Leads Real Madrid 3–2 at Halftime in High-Stakes El Clásico

Barcelona pulled off a thrilling first-half comeback to lead Real Madrid 3–2 in a chaotic El Clásico that could decide the La Liga title race.

What. Just. Happened.

El Clásico hit the gas pedal and didn’t look back.

In a game that had more plot twists than a Netflix thriller, Barcelona stormed back from a 2–0 deficit to lead Real Madrid 3–2 by halftime.

Yep, you read that right. Three goals in 15 minutes. One from a teenager. One from a header. One from Raphinha, doing Raphinha things.

It started ugly for Barça. Real Madrid came out swinging. Literally. Kylian Mbappé cashed in a penalty just five minutes in after Szczęsny brought him down.

Nine minutes later, Mbappé struck again—this time from open play after Vinícius Jr. did what Vinícius Jr. does: chaos, then assist.

2–0. Madrid fans were smiling. Xavi? Not so much.

Then Barcelona said: Nope.

Eric García headed in from a corner at the 19th minute. Cue the comeback.

Then came 16-year-old sensation Lamine Yamal. The kid with the baby face and the grown-man left foot. BOOM—curler to the top corner. That’s 2–2. The stadium went off.

And barely two minutes later, Raphinha cut inside and curled one like he was auditioning for FIFA 26 cover art.

3–2 Barcelona. Real Madrid stunned.

The Guardian called it “a complete turnaround,” while El País reported that the home crowd was “roaring like a Champions League night.”

All this before halftime.

This wasn’t just another rivalry match. It was the fourth El Clásico of the season—and so far, it’s been all Barça. They won the Copa del Rey final. The Supercopa final. Crushed Madrid 4–0 in the last league meeting.

Now, they’re leading this one, too.

If they hold on, they’re seven points clear with three games to go. La Liga? Practically theirs.

But Real Madrid isn’t done. Not with Mbappé and Viní Jr. on the pitch. And definitely not in El Clásico.
