You read that right.
Justin Baldoni’s lawyer just pitched an idea straight outta Succession — sell tickets to Blake Lively’s deposition. Like it’s the Eras Tour, but legal.
Bryan Freedman, Baldoni’s high-powered attorney, told PEOPLE they’re down to hold Lively’s depo at Madison Square Garden. Yes, the Garden. The twist? Stream it or charge admission — with proceeds going to domestic abuse orgs.
Wild, right?
This all stems from Lively’s lawsuit filed back in December, where she accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation during the filming of It Ends With Us. Baldoni fired back with a $400M defamation and extortion countersuit against Lively, Ryan Reynolds (yes, Deadpool), and others.
Freedman says Baldoni is “absolutely” taking the stand. And Blake? She’s locked in to testify too.
Lively’s team isn’t having the circus vibes. According to Page Six, they’re pushing for stronger protections after Blake reportedly received violent messages online since the suit dropped. Not cool.
Freedman, though, insists the deposition spectacle would raise money and awareness — not drama. Sure, Jan.
The judge hasn’t ruled on the whole ticket-selling thing yet, but if this goes down… court TV may never recover.
Stay tuned. Popcorn optional, subpoenas not.
