Julien Baker Cancels Us Tour With Torres To Focus On Health
Julien Baker just hit pause on her U.S. tour — and no, it’s not a drill.
The indie-rock star with the heartbreak voice and emo soul has officially canceled her “Send A Prayer My Way” tour with Torres, and fans are understandably shook. The announcement dropped like a surprise album this weekend, and it came straight from Baker herself.

“This decision was not made lightly,” she shared in a heartfelt statement via Instagram on Saturday, May 4. “I need to prioritize my health.”
Oof. Respect.
The tour — which kicked off on April 23 and had dates booked through mid-September — was already off to a bumpy start. According to Pitchfork, a band member suffered a concussion earlier in the run, forcing them to scrap two shows. But now, the whole tour is toast.
The most recent concert went down May 1 in New Orleans. The next one was supposed to be May 4 in San Antonio, but fans were hit with the cancellation hours before doors were supposed to open.
And yeah, that stung.
Julien’s fans took to social media with a mix of support and sadness. After all, it’s not every day you get to see a Grammy-winning Boygenius member live and in the flesh. Baker’s solo shows are rare, raw, and revered — kind of like Phoebe Bridgers in a skeleton suit at the Met Gala.
Ticket holders? They’re being told to hit up the original place of purchase for refunds. So at least there’s that.
No further details on Baker’s health have been made public. But fans are sending love, support, and memes — because the Julien Baker fandom is both soft and extremely online.
Take care of yourself, Julien. The tour can wait.
