Despite being ready and willing to reprise his role as the bow-and-arrow-wielding hero, Renner says Disney’s lowball offer wasn’t even close to what he made for the first season.

In a candid chat with High Performance, Renner spilled the tea: Disney offered him half of his original salary for the second season, all while expecting the same grueling schedule. Can you imagine being offered less for doing the same, if not more?

But wait, it gets juicier. Renner didn’t even ask for a raise. Nope, all he wanted was the same compensation he got for the first season. And yet, Disney—according to him—had a “penny-pinching” mentality when it came to his pay. Renner’s frustration is understandable, especially after his snowplow accident in early 2023 that left him with over 30 broken bones. He deserves fair pay.
