Taylor Hall Signs 3-Year Extension with Carolina Hurricanes

Taylor Hall Stays In Carolina

Taylor Hall ain’t going anywhere — the 2018 MVP just inked a brand-new deal to stay with the Carolina Hurricanes for three more years!

Yep, the former No. 1 overall pick and certified locker room vet is sticking around Raleigh, cashing in on a sweet $9.5 million extension. That’s $3.167 million a year for the hockey math nerds.

This move comes right after the Canes sent the Devils packing in five playoff games. Timing, anyone? Hall’s been a real asset since coming over from the Blackhawks midseason in a wild three-team trade. And he’s not just coasting on name value — dude put up 18 points in 31 games.

GM Eric Tulsky was basically doing a happy dance, saying,
“Taylor has proven to be an outstanding fit… a difference maker on the ice.”

And he’s not wrong. Hall’s been cool, calm, and clutch. He even dropped a goal and two assists in the first round of the playoffs.

Let’s not forget — this guy won the Hart Trophy back in 2018, dragged the Devils to the playoffs, and now he’s bringing that same vet energy to a Cup-hungry Carolina squad.

At 33, Hall’s still got gas in the tank and a no-nonsense game that fits right into Carolina’s grind-and-score style.
