Weapons Horror Movie First Trailer — Starring Josh Brolin And Julia Garner
Hold up — Josh Brolin and Julia Garner just jumped into a full-blown nightmare, and we cannot look away.
The first trailer for Weapons, the next twisted tale from Barbarian director Zach Cregger, just hit the internet — and yeah, it’s giving Magnolia meets Stranger Things energy… if both were injected with pure dread.

Brolin plays Archer Graff, a dad whose kid vanishes — not alone, though. Seventeen kids disappear at the same exact time from the same classroom. Spooky much?
Garner’s character? A teacher named Justine Gandy, who shows up to school and finds her entire class missing. No notes, no clues, no chill.
And just when you think you’ve wrapped your head around that? The film tosses in multiple timelines, creepy small-town secrets, and a vibe that screams this town ain’t right.
The supporting cast is loaded too — Alden Ehrenreich (yup, young Han Solo) shows up as a cop with a complicated past, and Doctor Strange’s Benedict Wong brings some serious gravitas to the mystery.
Oh — and did we mention there’s one kid who didn’t disappear? Meet Alex, the lone survivor. Talk about the world’s most traumatized show-and-tell.
Weapons is playing it close to the chest plot-wise, but early buzz says it’s not your average scream-fest. Julia Garner told Entertainment Weekly, “It’s not a proper horror movie — it’s a lot more layered.”
And because nothing’s complete without an internet rabbit hole, there’s a creepy AF companion site — maybrookmissing.net — packed with fake news articles and videos about the missing kids. Yeah, go ahead and lose sleep over that.
The flick is set to drop August 8, 2025 — earlier than expected, BTW. Warner Bros. bumped up the release from 2026, which usually means they know they’ve got something hot.
So yeah — clear your calendar, stock up on popcorn, and maybe check your classroom before sitting down to watch.
This one’s gonna mess with your head. And we’re here for it.
