Snapchat Hits 900M Monthly Active Users, Revenue Jumps 14% in Q1 2025

Snapchat hits 900M monthly users, revenue climbs 14%, and they’re making waves with new features, despite a few bumps along the way.

Snapchat Hits 900m Monthly Active Users, Revenue Jumps 14% In Q1 2025

Snapchat just hit a crazy milestone — 900 million monthly active users. Yup, you heard that right. 900 million. That’s almost a billion people snapping their way through the app every month. And guess what? They’re not just tapping away; the cash is rolling in too. Revenue’s up 14%, with the company raking in a solid $1.36 billion for Q1 2025. That’s no small feat in a world where everyone and their grandma’s using TikTok now.

But hold up — there’s a twist. Despite all that growth, Snap is keeping things a little mysterious. With the economy still shaky and ad budgets getting tighter, Snap’s playing it safe. They’re not giving us a forecast for Q2, which made investors twitch a bit. Cue the after-hours stock drop. But hey, 900 million active users don’t lie.

The company’s winning in other ways, too. Their ad game is on fire, with small businesses driving a 60% increase in active advertisers. Direct response ads — those pesky, “click here” ones — now make up 75% of their ad revenue. Talk about turning clicks into cash.

And let’s not forget Spotlight. Snapchat’s short-form video feature is blowing up with over 500 million monthly active users. Guess what? It’s even making waves in India. The platform has exploded there, with a staggering 200 million monthly users thanks to all the localized content and AR features.

But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Snapchat did take a hit in North America, losing a million users after that redesign we all loved (or hated, depending on who you ask). Don’t worry though, they’re tweaking things and working on a “refined” layout. Sounds fancy, right?

So, what’s the verdict? Snapchat’s still huge, the money’s rolling in, and they’re adapting to the times. Looks like they’re here to stay.
