Cleveland Broadie just became the face of betrayal in Rockdale County.
The 62-year-old is staring down felony murder charges after allegedly giving his wife HIV — knowing he had it for years — and never saying a word.
Yeah, you read that right.
He knew he was positive since 2006. Denise Broadie, his wife, found out two days before she died of AIDS in 2022.
By then, it was way too late.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Denise — a two-time cancer survivor — thought her health issues were just her old battle with cancer coming back. Nope. Turns out, her husband was playing Russian roulette with her life the entire time.
The Rockdale County D.A. is NOT playing around. They slapped Broadie with felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, and reckless conduct.
And here’s the kicker — Denise’s family had to fight like hell to get real charges filed. They hired private investigators, dug up the dirt, and forced the system to pay attention.
“She was trusting and he stole that from her,” a family member told FOX 5.
Even wilder — prosecutors say other women have come forward claiming Broadie pulled the same disgusting stunt on them. Having unprotected sex, never mentioning the HIV bomb he was carrying.
“He was like a ticking time bomb walking around,” one source close to the case told ABC6.
Rockdale County officials finally dragged him into court, where he’s now looking at life behind bars if convicted.
Good.
You don’t get to play God with people’s lives and walk away clean.
This case is a reminder: some monsters don’t hide under beds — they sleep next to you.
