Ishan Kishan’s Stormy Century Leads Hyderabad to Victory Over Rajasthan in IPL 2025

Ishan Kishan's unbeaten 106 powered Hyderabad to a massive victory over Rajasthan in IPL 2025.

Hyderabad: A blistering century from Ishan Kishan (unbeaten 106) and a half-century from Travis Head (67), followed by an excellent bowling performance, helped Sunrisers Hyderabad defeat Rajasthan Royals by 44 runs in the second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Sunday.

Chasing a massive target of 287 runs, Rajasthan Royals got off to a poor start, losing three wickets within 50 runs while trying to score quickly. Yashasvi Jaiswal (1), Captain Riyan Parag (4), and Nitish Rana (11) were dismissed early.

After that, Dhruv Jurel came in to bat and steadied the innings alongside Sanju Samson. The duo built a 111-run partnership for the fourth wicket. However, in the 14th over, Harshal Patel dismissed Samson, breaking the partnership. Samson scored 66 runs off 37 balls, hitting seven fours and four sixes.

In the next over, Adam Zampa dismissed Dhruv Jurel, crushing Rajasthan’s hopes. Jurel played a fiery knock of 70 runs off 35 balls, hitting five fours and six sixes.

SRH Innings:

Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a massive total of 286 runs, while Rajasthan Royals managed only 242 runs.

Shimron Hetmyer and Shubham Dubey continued attacking the bowlers, but Rajasthan lost their sixth wicket in the final over as Hetmyer got out. Hetmyer scored 42 runs off 23 balls, hitting one four and four sixes. Shubham Dubey remained unbeaten on 34 runs off 11 balls, hitting one four and four sixes.

Rajasthan’s Struggle Against Hyderabad’s Bowling Attack

Despite their efforts, Rajasthan Royals’ batters could only manage 242 runs for six wickets in 20 overs, losing by 44 runs.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Simarjeet Singh and Harshal Patel took two wickets each, while Mohammed Shami and Adam Zampa claimed one wicket each.

Opening the batting for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head built a quick 45-run partnership for the first wicket. However, Mahesh Theekshana dismissed Abhishek Sharma on the first ball of the fourth over. Abhishek scored 24 runs off 11 balls, hitting five fours.

Sunrisers’ second wicket fell when Travis Head got out after scoring a blazing 67 runs off 31 balls, hitting nine fours and three sixes.

Later, Nitish Kumar Reddy (30 off 15 balls) and Heinrich Klaasen (34 off 14 balls) contributed crucial runs.

In the final over, Aniket Verma (7) and Abhinav Manohar (0) were dismissed by Tushar Deshpande, but Sunrisers Hyderabad still posted a massive total of 286/6 in 20 overs.
