Vodafone Idea begins its 5G rollout in Mumbai, expanding soon to other cities(telecomtalk.info)
Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) launched its 5G services in India on Wednesday, starting from Mumbai. The services will later expand to five other cities. The company is betting on this new offering to curb the decline in its subscriber base and strengthen its position in the world’s second-largest telecom market against major competitors.

For now, 5G services will be available as an “unlimited add-on” for plans starting at ₹299. However, the duration of this introductory offer has not been specified. This initiative is crucial as the struggling telecom company aims to regain its foothold in the Indian telecom market, where the 5G network was first announced in October 2022.
