Now, popular Indian cinema villain Ranjeet has shared some insights about Rekha. He revealed how he once signed Rekha for his film but later asked for the signing amount back. Why did this happen? Let’s find out.

In an interview, Ranjeet shared that there was a time when he was frustrated with the roles he was being offered. He said, “I didn’t sign a film for a decade as I was fed up, so I decided to make my own films. I used to pay actors after their work, but some wouldn’t take money because of our bond.

Similarly, I once told Rekha, ‘You are my friend, but I want to cast you in my film. Just tell me an amount, and I will pay you,’ and she told me.”

Later, Ranjeet realized that another filmmaker who had signed Rekha for a film was paying her ₹5 lakh, and the amount Rekha mentioned to him was lower than that.

Producers Lined Up Outside Rekha’s House

Ranjeet continued, “I know that producers used to line up outside her house, eager to meet her. When I narrated my story to her, my entire team was waiting outside because Rekha did not allow anyone in.

I even told her about it, but she said, ‘Let them wait outside.’ Only Farzana (Rekha’s manager) would pass on messages to her. She wouldn’t meet anyone.”
