Last night in Raipur, the India Masters (INDM) and West Indies Masters (WIM) played the final match of the International Masters League (IML) 2025. It was exciting, and India Masters won by 6 wickets! The stadium was full of fans cheering for their favorite old cricket stars.

West Indies Masters: Simmons Tries Hard

West Indies batted first. Lendl Simmons played really well, scoring 57 runs in 41 balls. He hit the ball nicely, and fans loved it. But the rest of the team didn’t do so great. Dwayne Smith almost got 50 but got out. Vinay Kumar from India bowled super well, taking 3 wickets for just 26 runs. Shahbaz Nadeem also helped by getting a big player out. West Indies finished with 148 runs in 20 overs—not a huge score, but not tiny either.

India Masters: Rayudu Makes It Easy

India needed 149 to win, and they made it look simple. Ambati Rayudu was the star, scoring 74 runs in 50 balls. He hit lots of boundaries and stayed calm. Ashley Nurse from West Indies took 2 wickets, trying to stop India, but it wasn’t enough. India reached 149 in 17.1 overs, losing only 4 wickets. They won the game and the trophy!

What Fans Saw

The crowd was loud and happy, around 20,000 people watching. Kids waved signs for players like Sachin Tendulkar, who was there but didn’t play. People ate snacks like jalebis and shouted every time the ball went far. It felt like a big party, especially after Sachin’s fun Holi video with friends earlier this week.

Why It Was Special

This match showed old cricket stars can still play well. Simmons was awesome for West Indies, but India’s team was too strong with Rayudu and Vinay. It was a happy night for India Masters fans, and a little sad for West Indies fans. Everyone went home talking about the great game.
